Coimbatore, India – Spiritual leader Sadhguru has endorsed Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film, ‘OMG 2’, after a special screening at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore. Despite the Central Board of Film Certification’s (CBFC) decision to award the film an ‘A’ certificate, Sadhguru has emphasized the importance of its message for young audiences.

The film explores themes of bodily needs and responsible sexual behavior, with Kumar portraying Lord Shiva. Sadhguru has argued that an ‘A’ certificate should extend to adolescents, stating that “Education about understanding human biology and responding to the biological needs of an individual in a dignified and responsible way is very needed to build a Nation that is Fair & Just to all involved.”

Kumar, known for his advocacy of social issues, expressed gratitude for Sadhguru’s support, emphasizing the need for the film’s message to reach a wide audience. The film, directed by Amit Rai, also features Pankaj Tripathi, Yami Gautam, and Arun Govil, and is slated for release on August 11th.

The ‘A’ certificate, typically reserved for films with adult content, marks a significant departure from Kumar’s previous releases. His last film to receive an ‘A’ certificate was ‘Jolly LLB 2’ in 2017.
