Every Saturday, the vibrant Festival of the Chariots transforms Sun Splash Park in Daytona Beach into a kaleidoscope of Indian culture. Hosted by the International Society for Cultural Awareness, this free event offers a captivating array of festivities that showcase the depth and diversity of Indian traditions.

Cultural Immersions

The festival embraces a diverse array of activities that cater to a wide range of interests. Attendees can immerse themselves in the rhythms of traditional music and dance performances, marvel at captivating theatrical productions, and explore the intricate art of face painting. Mantra meditation and bhakti yoga sessions provide opportunities for spiritual contemplation and physical rejuvenation.

Culinary Delights

No Indian celebration is complete without a sumptuous feast. The festival features an elaborate vegetarian lunch, lovingly prepared and generously offered at no cost to all attendees. The menu is a delectable fusion of traditional Indian flavors, sure to tantalize taste buds and warm hearts.

The Grand Parade

The event culminates in a majestic parade that winds its way north along the beach, tracing a two-mile loop before returning to Sun Splash Park. The centerpiece of the procession is an awe-inspiring chariot adorned with a vibrant canopy and intricate decorations. The chariot is propelled forward by devotees who grasp its 100-foot-long ropes, adding to the spectacle with their lively dance and vibrant music.
