Strategies to manage fatigue include establishing regular sleep-wake cycles, maintaining a cool and dark sleep environment, and avoiding screen time before bed. Pacing activities and conserving energy throughout the day is also crucial to prevent crashes and maintain energy levels.

Differential Diagnosis

Correctly diagnosing fibromyalgia can be challenging due to its similarity to other conditions. Diseases that can mimic or co-occur with fibromyalgia include lupus, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and chronic fatigue syndrome. Accurate diagnosis is essential to ensure appropriate treatment.


Fibromyalgia is a complex and multifaceted condition that can significantly impact the lives of those affected. While there is no cure, a range of treatment options and self-management strategies can help alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life.
