Humble Beginnings and Remarkable Growth

River Lotus Yoga emerged in 2018 as a part-time venture, with Justin Englerth and Robin Beals as proprietors and instructors. Initially operating as a mobile service, they conducted classes at various locations. In 2022, they established a permanent home on Fifth Street for four years. Driven by burgeoning demand, they recently relocated to a larger facility, doubling their operational space.

Grand Opening and Inaugural Events

The community eagerly anticipates the grand opening and open house scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday at the studio’s new abode at 504 Main Street, Suite E. This momentous occasion coincides with downtown First Friday festivities. Attendees can expect an array of captivating activities, including door prize giveaways, live musical performances, complimentary chair massages, and light refreshments.

Expansive Class Offerings for All

River Lotus Yoga caters to a diverse clientele, offering over 20 classes per week. These sessions are judiciously scheduled throughout the day and evening, allowing for flexible participation. The studio recently introduced yoga classes specifically tailored for children aged 5-10, enabling families to engage in separate classes simultaneously. Anticipating increased demand, additional classes are in the pipeline, along with teacher training programs.

A Holistic Approach to Well-being

Robin Beals, a seasoned massage therapist for 14 years, is ardent about the transformative power of yoga. She attributes her personal experiences with the practice as her motivation for sharing its benefits with others. Beals delights in the opportunity to guide individuals toward greater balance and vitality, both physically and mentally.

Positive Influence on Society

Justin Englerth, who holds additional roles as a licensed plumber and raft guide, finds fulfillment in the social aspect of yoga. He views it as a positive force within the community, contributing to personal growth and societal well-being. The studio’s classes span a spectrum from beginner-friendly to physically demanding, accommodating individuals of varying abilities.

Diverse Clientele and Community Involvement

River Lotus Yoga welcomes participants from all walks of life, fostering a truly inclusive environment. Community members may have encountered Robin Beals’ kids yoga class at the Cañon City Public Library or Sherry Johns’ session at the Senior Mini College. The studio also boasts a team of certified massage therapists, providing services such as sports massage, shiatsu, and energy work.

Spacious New Facility

The newly acquired space comprises an office, two dedicated yoga studios, and two massage rooms. The building has undergone extensive renovations, featuring a brand-new interior.
