In-Person and Virtual Options Available

Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is pleased to announce the return of in-person Childbirth Education classes, along with continued virtual options.

In addition to popular classes like Understanding Birth, Understanding Your Newborn, and Boot Camp for Dads, Baby Yoga and Infant Massage are now available.

Baby Yoga

  • For parents and babies aged 6 weeks to pre-crawling
  • Supports baby’s developmental path through positive touch and movement
  • Classes include poses, stretches, and movements on the baby’s back and tummy
  • Six-week class offered in two three-week sessions

Infant Massage

  • For parents and babies aged 2 weeks to pre-crawling
  • Deepens parent-baby connection and enhances understanding of nonverbal language
  • Four-week program covers benefits and techniques of infant massage
  • Discussions include feeding, sleep, developmental milestones, and parenting styles

“Baby Yoga and Infant Massage provide an opportunity for babies to engage in floor play and interact with their parents,” said Patti Ideran, OTR/L, CEIM, a pediatric occupational therapist at Northwestern Medicine and certified instructor in infant massage and baby yoga.
