Expanding Horizons: Outdoor Yoga with a Twist

For nearly a decade, Wildflower Yoga Collective has innovated the yoga landscape by offering outdoor classes in scenic locations such as vineyards, farms, and nature preserves throughout Hunterdon County.
These extended sessions encompass a basic, mixed-level yoga class accessible to both beginners and experienced practitioners. Additionally, participants engage in location-themed activities such as wine tastings, horseback riding, or paddle boarding.
“Our goal is to cater to diverse interests,” said founder and visionary Elaine Sinclair. “We welcome wine aficionados, animal lovers, hikers, and nature enthusiasts alike, many of whom may not have prior yoga experience.”

Winter Haven: A Brick-and-Mortar Oasis

In August 2023, Wildflower Yoga Collective established a winter home at the historic Stangl Factory in Flemington.
The former site of A Life in Balance has been transformed into a nature-inspired studio, providing a serene environment for year-round yoga practice.
“The atmosphere here is earthy and inviting,” said Sinclair. “We’ve brought the beauty of the outdoors inside, creating a haven for our community.”

Diverse Offerings: From Mixed-Level Yoga to Mindful Practices

The indoor studio offers a wide range of classes, including mixed-level yoga, crystal and oil workshops, sound healing, and open meditation sessions.
Noteworthy programs include the Art of the Lotus class, Sinclair’s unique method that combines yoga, color therapy, and creativity.
Current outdoor classes such as moon flow yoga and tarot card workshops will also be held indoors during the winter months.

Origins and Inspiration: A Path to Healing

Elaine Sinclair, who also co-owns Spruce Run Printing in Clinton, found solace in yoga after suffering from chronic stress migraines.
She launched Wildflower Yoga Collective in 2014, envisioning an inclusive and stress-relieving practice that extended beyond the confines of a traditional studio.
“The demand for Wildflower during the winter has skyrocketed,” said Sinclair. “We’re thrilled to offer an indoor sanctuary that complements our outdoor experiences.”
