Hot Yoga Studios in Indianapolis

Nothing beats the feeling of accomplishment after a workout that leaves you drenched in sweat. While a 10-mile run in the summer heat can certainly do the trick, you can achieve an equally intense and detoxifying sweat in just an hour with a hot yoga class.

Hot yoga is practiced in a room heated to between 85 and 104 degrees Fahrenheit, depending on the class type and studio. The heat helps the body to stretch more deeply into poses and promotes sweating, which can help to cleanse the body.

Not all yoga studios offer hot yoga classes, but here are eight places in the Indianapolis area that do:

  • City Yoga
    2442 Central Ave., Indianapolis, 317-920-9642
City Yoga offers a variety of classes, including at least one hot yoga class each day of the week. Most of the hot yoga classes are vinyasa style, meaning students flow dynamically through poses.
  • Treehouse Yoga
    22 E. 16th St., Indianapolis, 317-602-7707
Treehouse Yoga offers hot flow classes, described as challenging flows that link breath and movement. The room is heated to about 95 degrees.
  • The Hot Room

Studio YOU Yoga offers a couple of different levels of hot yoga in a vinyasa style. A hot yoga class heated to about 90 degrees is recommended for more experienced yogis, while a heated vinyasa class is suitable for beginners.
